Funding programmes
Below is a brief overview of what Capacitybuilders' is currently funding in the East of England, you can find out more detail about each programmes' aims and objectives by visiting the Capacitybuilders website.
Capacitybuilders funds support organisations and groups in the East of England with the aim of improving the quality of support services available to frontline groups. Total investment in the region is forecast to be approximately £3.3 million in 2008-11.
Tools and other resources produced by grant holders are shared with the sector in this website.
Strategic Change in Local and Regional Support programme
The local and regional strategic change programme includes
grants which aim to strengthen and develop consortia throughout
England. ('Consortia' refers to groups or networks of support
providers who come together to plan strategically to improve the
support services available in their region).
The programme includes Consortia Development and Consortia
Modernisation grants.
Social Enterprise programme
The Social Enterprise programme aims to create local
impact, facilitate regional coordination and create a
national knowledge management exchange to improve the business
support services available to social enterprise
organisations.
This programme includes the National Knowledge Management Exchange
and Local and Regional Project grants.
ICT Champions programme
The ICT Champions National Priorities programme has established a champion who is working with local support providers in the region to help them develop efficient and effective use of technology. The champion for ICT is Paul Ruskin at Advice for Life.who is based in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
Improving Reach programme
The Improving Reach programme aims to extend and improve
the support services available to frontline organisations working
with excluded communities.
This programme includes Improving Reach project grants, made to
individual organisations.
