Led by NCVO third sector foresight

The responding to social change workstream acts to ensure support is available to help third sector organisations face the future confidently and gain greater insight into trends shaping the sector and their implications.

 
Workstream partnership

Lead agency: Third Sector Foresight, at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).
Partners: the Centre for Charity Effectiveness at Cass Business School, City University; Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Forum; seven sub-sectoral support providers and ten other national and regional partners.

 

Key aims for 2008-2011
  • making a strong case for how responding effectively to social change is essential to good strategic leadership and effective planning
  • clearly communicating information on social change and sharing intelligence among support providers and with frontline groups
  • ensuring support providers have the insight, skills and materials they need to better help frontline organisations understand and respond to social change.
