The Collaboration benefits workstream led by bassac aims...

1. To collate and disseminate existing good practice in collaborative working – including the development of an accessible online resource

We are building a knowledge base on collaborative working by pulling together and scrutinising all existing materials and examples of good practice.  Support providers and the wider third sector benefit from both written and web-based repositories of up-to-date information around all areas of collaborative working, including networks, partnerships, clusters, consortia, co-location, shared infrastructure, joint service development and delivery and mergers.

2. To  support, develop and test new and innovative models of collaborative working and commission new research on opportunities for collaboration

We are conducting research to address emerging needs in the area of collaboration – e.g. procurement partnerships.  We are responsive to need, ensuring that our contribution is contemporary and relevant to practitioners.

3. To provide training and support to build the skills of the sector around collaborative working

The training programme is aimed at community development staff of community organisations and those who support third sector frontline organisations.  In addition, officers of the delivery partners, officers of the Community Alliance partners, support organisations and other regional support staff are also eligible for our training.  We are delivering around 128 days of training across three years. All of our training and events are listed in the event calendar.
