The Cracking the Code Bursary Scheme

Round 6th of the bursary scheme is now open!

The governance and leadership workstream, led by NCVO are offering support providers a variety of help and support to improve your governance.  This includes the new Cracking the Code Bursary Scheme

What is ‘Cracking the Code’?

Cracking the Code is a bursary scheme for small support provider organisations to improve their governance based on all, or any, of the principles set out in Good Governance: A code for the Voluntary and Community Sector. 

How does it work?  

The workstream will provide up to £500 for your organisation to improve it’s governance based on all or any of the principles of the 'Code'.  In return they ask that you write a case study and develop a method to share your knowledge and experiences with others in your local area.

Who is it for?

This scheme is open to support provider organisations based in England only.  To check your eligibility for the scheme go to the applicants page. 

What could you use the bursary for?

There are many different ways the bursary can be used to improve your governance.  What you do and how you use the bursary depend on the needs of your organistaion. Visit the Cracking the Code ideas and inspiration page. 

How do I apply for a bursary?  

It is easy to apply for a bursary scheme.  Visit the applicant’s page to check your eligibility, read the application instructions and make your application.
